KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment for adults that destroys fat cells to gradually improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”

Kybella contains deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that helps break down fat. When injections are administered under the chin, the product breaks down fat cells and prevents future fat storage. As submental fat begins to weaken, we are able to contour the neck so that the chin area is well-balanced with the rest of the face. Kybella may be combined with fillers to create the ultimate facial balance. Furthermore, Kybella can be used to address other jawline-related concerns, such as sagging jowls.

Multiple injections with a small, fine needle will be made into the fatty tissues under the chin. The entire procedure only lasts a few minutes. Everyone is different and the number of injections and treatments will depend on the extent of your submental fullness For many patients, 2-3 treatment sessions are recommended to accomplish the desired results.
